End of Semester Summary

In this semester I learned new things, and have been given new ideas and concepts to think about. I learned new skills in multimedia, I look at history from a whole different point of view, even in English I have learned different ways to look at a book and ask myself questions. I have also been preparing to take four AP test in May, and four regents in June, and an SAT test in March.

27- Brochure made with Publisher

In this assignment I used Publisher to make a brochure of all the classes I took this Fall Semester. I first chose the template. On the first page, first section I wrote my first and second period class, describing them, telling who my teacher was and giving an image of the textbook I use in the class. On the second part I wrote about me as an MCSM student, and how I get to my school using the MTA. On the third part I wrote where my school is, and gave the images of my school building, and school schedule. On the second page I kept describing the rest of my classes and what I have read used or done during this semester. I also stated what I normally do during my lunch period. Overall I believe this was a good fall semester.

26- Showcase of iPhone

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a showcase seem three dimensional. To do this I followed a tutorial with step by step instructions to make the showcase. I put the iPhone by selecting the phone with the Magnetic Lasso tool then copied and paste as I have done in previous assignments. To make the box I first made a rectangle, and used the rulers to make the outline of the rectangle, now using different rulers I made a smaller rectangle, changing a few things I connected the corners making it seem that it is a box. I then made the light bulbs, and making different shapes on the floor and middle wall made it seem like there was a spotlight. Finally I added the phone and text at the top.

25-Animated Button

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make an animated button. To do it I followed a simple tutorial with easy and clear steps to follow. First I started with a solid background, then I made a circle using the Ellipse tool, and changed the settings of the circle, then i duplicated that layer and made the smaller circle, changing the settings again. To make the aluminum effect I made a new layer and made a rectangle covering the two circles. I put some effects on the rectangle, inverted and left the effect on the smallest circle. I then added the power symbol,the layers I had so far I put them into a group, Then duplicated that group and added a few glowing effect to the power symbol by changing the settings. To make the animation I had to change the view of the second group first then again but this time to the first group. Finally I made sure it was continuous with no delay to save it as a Gif.

24- Gingerbread House 3D

In this assignment I used Photoshop to create this image. I used the Gingerbread house from the assignment before and an image from Google. I opened the image first, then the gingerbread house used the magnetic lasso to select the house, and copied it to paste it on the image. When that was done I followed a simple tutorial to make it 3D. 

23-Gingerbread House

In this assignment I used Google Sketch up to make a Gingerbread house, similar to a picture I got from Google. To make this Gingerbread house I made a rectangle first, then I used the Push and Pull Tool to make it three dimensional. Using the Pencil Tool I connected the midpoint of the top line to the sides of the cube, and using the Push and Pull Tool I pushed the sections down making the roof. Then to make the door I used the pencil again, and the radial pencil to make the shape, then used the Push and Pull Tool to make the entrance. To make the candy in the front I used the Circle tool and the Push and Pull Tool to make them pop, to make the circle windows I did the same but instead pushed inward to make the designs. To make the square windows I used the rectangle tool, and the pencil to make the design. to make the colorful decorations around the roof I used the radial pencil and the Push and Pull Tool to make them 3D. Finally I added color and drew the smily faces. Then used Photoshop to make the image above.
