Block Quiz

In this assignment I used Google Sketch Up to make a bit more challenging block. Again I made a rectangle, used the Push and Pull tool to make it 3D, when that was done I used the Measure Tape tool to make the height 5', length 10', and width 4'. Then with the Pencil tool I made the slopes and with the Push and Pull tool I got rid of the parts I didn't want, giving me the block in the image. After that all I had to do was use the Paint Bucket tool to make the sides a primary color, and the slopes a secondary color (I used red and blue on the sides around the slopes so I made  the slope purple, since red+blue=purple), and used the Dimensions tool to mark the length of the side (as you can see my measurements weren't so exact).

22- blocks 1-12

In this assignment I used Google Sketch Up to make 3 dimensional figures. I had to make twelve different blocks with different measurements and shapes. For blocks 1-4 I colored, 5-8 I put the measurements, and blocks 9-12 I put primary colors on the sides and on the sides with the slope I used secondary colors. Overall to make the blocks I started with a rectangle used the Push and Pull button to make it 3-D  then used the Tape Measurement tool to get the correct measurements then used the same tool, the Pencil tool and the Push and Pull tool  to make the shape.

21 a,b,c - Google Sketches

In this assignments I used Google Sketch. In the first image I started practicing so I used the shapes to make a square, triangle, and circle. For the second image I used the same shapes and used the Push and Pull to make them look three dimensional. Finally on the third image I used the shapes and pencil to write my name and then again used the Push and Pull to make the letters 3-D. 

20-Wireless Phone (test)

In this assignment I used Adobe Illustrator to make a Wireless Phone. To be able to do this I followed a simple tutorial with specific steps on what shape and what size each shape to be. This wasn't just shapes and sizes but it was also using different gradients and colors. I also learned how to make copies of something I had done before like the buttons. This tutorial is really helpful in making a very detailed wireless phone.

19-USB Drive

In this assignment I used Adobe  Illustrator to make a realistic flash drive. To make this flash drive I only used shapes and different gradients. I made a few changes from the original tutorial when it came to the color, instead of gray I decided to use blue. 

19- Skills Learned

Photoshop is a good software to make different designs, and change the way an image looks. I was able to learn new things from changing the filter of my picture to doing different effects on text (like the Glass text effect) to now where I learned how to add details to a picture using the displacement map or Quick Mask. This software has been very helpful.

18- Soft Skin Glow

In this assignment I used Photoshop to to change the appearance of an image, which in this case was a selfie of myself, but I only changed the appearance of the skin on my face. First I blurred the entire image and changed from normal to screen, and with the paint brush tool I painted over my eyes and everything around my face including the background, then changed the opacity. I followed these step from a simple tutorial.

17- Selection via Quick Mask

In this assignment I used Photoshop to select something and fill it in without using the magnetic lasso like in assignments from before, instead I used Quick Mask which is a mode, where you select a part of an image and edit it without much problem. In this case I decide to select the bottom part of the women's hair in the image then with the Paint Bucket tool I filled it in with the color green to make it seem that she dyed the bottom part of her hair green. To do this I just followed some steps from an easy to follow tutorial.

16- Smart filter - Motion blurring

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make an image of a plane clear in a blurry background, even though I started with a very clear image. To do this I followed a few simple steps, where I opened the image as a smart object used the motion blur filter, and then used a paint brush to make the plane look.

15b- Painted Effect with Displacement maps on Selfie

In this assignment I did what i did in assignment 15a, again I used Photoshop to make one of my selfies seem to have an American  flag painted on me. To do this I opened two files, my selfie and an image of the American flag. I change a few settings on each image and then Displacement Map filter to make the effect. To change the settings and add the filter I followed some steps from a simple tutorial.

15a- Painted Effect with Displacement maps on brick wall

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a brick wall seem to have a Mexican flag painted on it. To do this I opened two files, the brick wall picture and an image of the Mexican flag. I change a few settings on each image and then Displacement Map filter to make the effect. To change the settings and add the filter I followed some steps from a simple tutorial.

14- Halloween-Jack-o-Lantern

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a Jack-o-Lantern. to this I used magnetic lasso to remove the background from the pumpkin. I used the pen tool to draw the face and change the layer styles to make it look like it was carved and a candle is inside, shining light effect. Then at the bottom I used a text box to write Happy Halloween! i followed this simple steps from a simple tutorial.

13- Mimic of Poster

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a mimic of a poster from Food Bank NYC's EATWISE Program for Teens. To do this i applied a solid green background, then i got a picture of a package of Warheads and another of dried fruit. With the magnetic lasso I replaced the warheads candy with the dried fruit. I did a bit of research on dried fruit and put it on the poster. To replace the the candy with the fruit I followed a few simple steps from the assignment before.

12-Texture with layer mode

                                                          

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a plain black dress seem to have  texture by adding a layer of a texture I had saved before. To do this I followed a few steps from a simple tutorial.

11- Club Flyer

In this assignment I used Photoshop to make a flyer of the  club that I am in which is Red Cross. For the name of the club I used a Glass text effect, and for the top description I filled it in with the picture of my school (photo filled effect). For the other text I used a Plastic text effect. For the background I used two different gradients(diamond, linear). Finally I inserted two other images.
